This year's National Night Out event by the Ormond Beach Police Department could not have been complete without Polynesian dancers, karate demonstrations and seeing the community's police officers — in uniform or Hawaiian shirts.
The 35th-annual event was held at the Nova Community Center on Tuesday, Aug. 7, and featured performances by Polynesian Fire. The Hawaiian luau-themed event also had a photo booth, rock wall, face painting, bounce houses, live music and appearances by OBPD's 10Alpha1 and the Chick-fil-A cow.
