The city of Ormond Beach celebrated Earth Day on Thursday, April 19, with its 26th-annual Picnic on the Plaza at City Hall, just three days ahead of the 48th-anniversary of the first Earth Day on April 22.
With music by Five O'Clock Charlie, attendees enjoyed informational booths from local organizations, including the Ormond Beach Police Athletic League, the Environmental Discovery Center and the Halifax Garden Club. The Ormond Beach Garden Club also handed out free flowers.
