In remembrance of those held POW or listed as MIA in The Vietnam War, Veterans of Port Orange and the surrounding area of Volusia County gathered at Post 3282. Veterans had the opportunity to state the names of their brothers and sisters lost abroad, while a bell labeled "Let Freedom Ring" was rung.
The Vietnam Veteran Tribute truck was brought by owner, David Rose. Rose stated "This is a museum first, and a hotrod second". Rose said that the truck is constructed from an old Ford pickup body, with a Corvette engine and front suspension. The truck is filled with an estimated 3,000 signatures from veterans of all branches, including metal of honor recipients.
