Nothing says love for a biker couple like a chance to show off their customized rides together.
After getting married on Friday, Oct. 13, Ormond Beach residents Jacque and Bobby Alexander celebrated their honeymoon by registering their choppers into Willie’s Old School Chopper Show at Tropical Tattoo on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 825 S. Yonge St.
Besides sharing a love for choppers, the pair said 13 is their lucky number, and so after getting engaged in May, they knew they had to get married on the thirteenth day of a month.
“We got married in Ormond on the beach at a friend’s house and had a reception there, and it was great,” Jacque said.
About two years ago, Bobby walked into a hair salon in Ormond Beach, but he left with more than a haircut. He also got a date.
“I saw her, and I was like ‘Woah,'" he said. “She didn’t cut my hair, but she rode bikes and we hit it off, and we’ve been dating ever since.”
Bobby’s seafoam green ’96 lane splitter chopper won “Best Sportster” at the show. Jacque’s black bike, which displayed a big red and white “13," was parked next to his.
“We’re hoping to live happily ever after,” Bobby said.
