First Baptist Church of Palm Coast's Upward basketball league concluded with two championship games Saturday, May 3, in the church's gym.
After five months of games for ages 4-14, the fifth/sixth and seventh/eighth graders decided their seasons from Tuesday to Saturday with playoffs and then championship games.
In the fifth/sixth grade division, Bulldogs beat the Hoyas 26-22, and in the Bulls beat the Hawks 32-27 in the upper division.
During and after the games, the church served free food while offering kids a bounce house and an inflatable baseball game.
While every team didn't finish a champion, some students played basketball for the first time, and others were made better through practices and games.
