Calling all artists

The Flagler County Art League has announced a logo design contest to celebrate its upcoming 40th anniversary in 2018. All artists — adults and students — are invited to submit artwork to be considered for the anniversary logo, which will be used for advertising, social media and more.

Entries should be sent to [email protected] with the email subject line “FCAL 40 logo contest” and include the artist’s name, phone, email address and whether they’re an adult or student. Entries must be in JPEG format, at least 1MB and 300dpi. The submission deadline is Sept. 25. The winner will receive $200, plus one-year membership in FCAL, and the logo will be printed on T-shirts, tote bags, mugs and other materials.

The competition will run from Sept. 1-25. A panel will review the submissions and select the finalists, which will be on display at FCAL from Sept. 25 to Oct. 12. Community members are invited to vote for their favorite design during regular gallery hours: noon to 4 p.m.  Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
