There are four seasons every year, said Palm Coast United Methodist Church Pastor Kevin James: winter, spring, summer and football.
Members of the football teams, cheer squads and bands from Matanzas High School and Flagler Palm Coast High School joined the church congregation on Sunday, Aug. 20 to kick off the approaching football season.
Churchgoers donned NFL, college and high school jerseys supporting their favorite teams during the friendly rivalry service at the church, located at 5200 Belle Terre Parkway.
The first game of season between the two high schools will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at FPC.
