Savannah Zanosky was one of the many chalk artists who created displays on the sidewalk behind City Hall (Photos by Emily Blackwood).
Shannon Wilkins was one of 60 artists who displayed work at Granada Grand — along with her son, Sammy.
Benjamin Crytcer, 6, had his face painted like Spiderman and proved that some dreams do come true.
Ryan Smith and Jackie Collins got a good arm workout pedaling the homemade spin-art machine for Frame of Mind.
Lily Zelman, 10, created her very own flower.
Angel Lowden made some gigantic bubbles with her own, homemade bubble wand.
Some kids were stunned by the size of Angel Lowden’s bubbles.
Angel Lowden dipped the end of her homemade bubble wand into a bucket of soapy water. The two long, wooden sticks tied together with a knotted rope looked slightly on the heavy side, but Lowden lifted it and danced with an ease, creating massive bubbles in her path.
In order to catch this magnificent show, one had to be quick, because within just a few seconds of letting the bubbles float into the air, a group of young boys hovered around waiting to pop them.
“I did this at a party once,” she said. “I was on a second floor balcony, and people were throwing footballs at me to try to pop the bubbles.”
Thankfully no footballs were thrown at the third-annual Granada Grand Festival of the Arts, an event to promote all things creative, from visual artists and demonstrations to musical performances and hands-on activities. Hosted by Ormond Mainstreet and the Ormond Beach Arts District, nearly 3,000 people attended.
