Volusia County is advising all people living beachside, in any mobile home east of I-95, or in any residence in a low-lying area east of I-95, to evacuate as soon as possible. At or soon after 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, all bridges — including the Granada Bridge — will be closed and exit from the beachside will be impossible.
No emergency services can or will be provided to those who fail to evacuate from the beachside. Emergency services to low-lying areas also may be precluded by lack of access.
