With the arrival of October, sports teams will take part in supporting the fight against breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most football players will wear pink cleats, arm bands, socks and other accessories, but the Ormond Beach Sandcrabs took it further by wearing pink jerseys.
"It's the second year we've done it, and lot of us have lost family members to cancer or are currently fighting the fight," said Brandon Campbell, the Sandcrabs' president. "We support the families and anyone going through it, and we try to teach the boys the actual issues, not just for the pink colors."
The cheerleaders also took part, wearing pink shirts that read on the back: "Ormond supports the fight."
