Back the Blue Day was held Nov. 10 at Grace Academy.
Students asked the officers questions, such as, "What's the worst crime you've ever fought?"
Local police enforcement paid a special visit to students at Grace Academy in Ormond Beach Nov. 10. No one was in trouble with the law, but everyone wanted to learn a little more about what it was like to be an officer.
Students at the private school asked the 11 cops from the Ormond Beach, Bunnell, and Flagler police departments questions like, "How do you use service dogs," "What's the worst crime you've ever fought," and — more importantly, — "Do you have light up shoes like mine?"
After a Q&A session, the students sang a song thanking the officers for their hard work, and parents gave them baked goods to take back to their stations.
"We just wanted to show support for them," said Rebecca Myrick, Grace PSG events coordinator, "and all that they do."
