Pirates loot Cubs for 10U championship

Pirates pile up five runs in the last inning to overtake Cubs.

Last week Pirates’ second baseman Micah Karr had his appendix removed, but, according to head coach Donnie Klickovich, nothing was going to keep him from playing in the 10U Mustangs Division championship on Tuesday, May 31, at the Nova baseball fields.

In the final inning of the title game, the Pirates scored five runs to surpass the defending champions, the Cubs, to win 9-6. The Pirates finished the year 14-4.
