“This amazing group of women have continued to thrive in Flagler County largely due to the extraordinary volunteer leaders that give so much of their time and talent to creating lasting change in our community,” said Alicia Casas, United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties vice president of Resource Development.
The Old Kings Highway Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented at check for $294 to the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans on Monday, Jan. 11. The local DAR also donates nonperishable food items to the DAV Food Pantry on a monthly basis. The DAV receives no federal funding and all volunteers are unpaid. Donations are used to assist needy veterans.
