The Volunteer Firefighter award went to Steve Garnes, of the Palm Coast Fire Department, picutred with sponsor Delivery Systems International.
The Health Professional award went to Dr. Kristin McCabe, of the Florida Hospital Flagler, pictured with sponsor Florida Hospital Flagler.
The Volunteer award went to Michael Lee, of the Flagler County Emergency Management Volunteer, pictured with sponsor Preferred Management Services.
Over 160 members of the community gathered at the Elk’s Lodge in Palm Coast to recognize the admirable and sedulous emergency service personnel in Flagler County. The Ancient City Pipes and Drums started off the evening with a ceremonial tribute to the fallen men and women in the line of duty, and honored all military branches with a rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
Many local businesses showed their support by sponsoring an award for the nominees, and received the opportunity to present the award to the outstanding individual.
The emergency service personnel recognized included the Flagler County EMS, Volunteer and employed Firefighters, Law Enforcement, Civilian Officers and Public Safety Personnel.
