Toddler found unresponsive in Palm Coast pool April 23 has died

The 2-year-old girl died at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando the night of April 25.

A little girl found unresponsive in a Palm Coast pool Saturday, April 23, has died, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. 

The 2-year-old girl, the daughter of F-Section residents Douglas Seitz and Mandee Seitz, was rushed to Halifax Hospital by rescuers, and then to an intensive care unit at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. She died at about 11:50 p.m. Monday, April 25, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

"Our detectives have concluded their investigation and no criminal charges will be filed," the news release stated. "Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family. "

A 2-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a Palm Coast pool the evening of Saturday, April 23 and rushed to Halifax Hospital after her parents realized she wasn't breathing. The girl remained hospitalized April 25.

A deputy who arrived at the home after a 911 call at about 7:01 p.m. found the girl's father giving her CPR. The deputy continued CPR and used an AED device until paramedics arrived.

The little girl, a resident of Palm Coast's F-Section, remained at an intensive care unit Monday, April 25 at the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, according to a Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

Detectives working on the case said the incident appeared accidental, and that they did not suspect foul play, according to a Sheriff's Office news release. The investigation is ongoing.
