The Flagler County Art League is featuring a Plein Air Art Exhibit now through the end of August. The artwork is created entirely outdoors by members of the Art League.
“The paintings capture Florida’s natural landscapes well, and the art makes me want to go out and find all these places.” Said local art enthusiast, Regi Ballard.
On Saturday, August 8 a special award presentation was given at the Plein Air Art Exhibition to those who won the two dimensional Art in Public Places competition from the month of July, sponsored by the Gargiulo Art Foundation. These winners received purchase awards for their interpretation of the outdoor sculptures placed around Palm Coast. The local art galleries who participated in the exhibition are grateful towards the Gargiulo Art Foundation for the opportunity to collaborate and bring the art community closer together. Founder of Gargiulo Art Foundation, Tom Gargiulo, is determined to get all six of the existing art galleries in Flagler County to participate in next year’s collaborative exhibition.
