Before giving her charge to graduates, the Rev. Gwen Jackson broke out her smart phone and told the graduates to fill in the aisles. It was time to leave their mark, with a group selfie May 21, at Baccalaureate, held at Santa Maria del Mar.
“When we are making marks, we don’t know how far it will go,” she told the graduates. “You have already made a hug mark that will not be erased.”
Student reflections by Flagler Palm Coast’s Jeyda Deniz and Matanzas’ Travis Thompson urged their fellow students to think about whose hands their future is in and to live like the example that Timothy set in chapter four of 1 Timothy, which was one of the Bible reading recited by Matanzas student Marcaus Cooper.
Marcus Polite also did a reading from Joshua 1.
