The Ormond Memorial Art Museum is hosting two more "Art of Healing" workshops June 26 and July 24.

Local residents going through medical situations can find an outlet for their feelings at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum.

Two “Art of Healing” workshops will be held at the museum June 26 and July 24. Laura Bohn, a professional painter for more than 20 years, will teach students how to create meaningful artwork.

The workshop on June 26 will be focused on a symbol exercise in which the artist can discover which symbols are important to them in creating personally meaningful artworks. The workshop on July 24 will start in the center of a circular Mandala-like design and build paper clay bowls.

The free visual arts program will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The class is open to those in medical situations, caregivers and family, and no experience is required. Class members are invited to bring any printed words, poems, lyrics or photos that could be incorporated into the work to make it more personalized.

Reservations are required. Call 676-3347.
