Despite some drizzle, Ormond Beach residents filled Rockefeller Gardens, Fortunato Park and City Hall Plaza for the Independence Day Celebration.
The 4th of July was celebrated in a big way this past weekend in Ormond Beach. Even with some rainy weather, locals flocked to the city’s Independence Day Celebration.
Hosted by the City of Ormond Beach Department of Leisure Services, the event was held at three different locations: Rockefeller Gardens, Fortunato Park and City Hall Plaza. Each location held different types of entertainment. Popular hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, were played by Tie Dye Road and The Click at Rockefeller Gardens. Classic rock from Brad Yates and MoiMemtum could be heard from City Hall Plaza. Kids watched the Comedy and Magic of Glen Foster and The Amazing Antics of Todd Kay at Fortunato Park, where there was also face painting, inflatable rides and a giant coloring mural.
Fireworks went off later that evening and could be seen from all three parks.
