Seen on a Sea Doo
Cathy Bullock, of Heaven Scent Pet Sitting, caught a glimmer of color in the water during one of her recent Sea Doo rides from Halifax Harbor Marina to one of the three sand bars in Ponce Inlet, and she stopped to take a photo. This shot was taken on Inlet Harbor Sandbar, across from the Inlet Harbor Restaurant.
Draw something: Peabody shirt contest open now
A T-shirt design contest is now open to all local artists, to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Peabody Auditorium, at 600 Auditorium Blvd., in Datyona Beach.
The winner will have his or her design displayed in the theater, as well as reproduced on shirts, along with a $200 prize. The second-place winner will get two theater tickets.
Shows at the Peabody this season include Ron White, Kenny G, Clint Black, and Broadway shows “The Addams Family,” “Memphis” and others.

Construction women install new officers
The East Central Florida Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction installed new officers this month, following a speech by guest Seventh Judicial Circuit Court Judge Leah R. Case. The new officers are listed as follows:
Valinda Krynicki, president (Universal Engineering); Ivona Tydir, vice president (Tydir Construction); Chelsea Patrick, treasurer (Patrick Construction); and, Bobbie Cheh, secretary (Peck & Associates Construction Inc.).
Ninette Turay-Lewis, Masco Administrative Services, and Bonnie Sanderson, Sanderson Concrete, were also installed as new members.
Treasurer Brandy Anderson and her husband, Christopher, were also recognized for the birth of their new son, Hunter Finn, born on Sept. 12.
