What are the holidays without a little pinning?

The Ormond Beach Regional Library will host a Pinterest program 1-3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, during which participants will learn how to make a Christmas tree, a bow and ornaments out of old books, according to Cindy Fouraker, reference librarian.

The library has been hosting Pinterest programs for a few months now, with many projects revolving around donated books. So far, the book-themed crafts have included purses, pumpkins and goat milk soap-making with book-jacket gift bags.

"It's fun to use books for repurposing," said Kristine Crane, assistant regional librarian. "I don't want to speak for Cindy, but her crafts are a way to reuse and recycle our beloved books to give them new life."

Participants will need to bring a pair of scissors and an exacto knife to make the crafts.
