The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in attempting to locate a 49-year-old Palm Coast man reportedly missing since Saturday.

Luis Gustavo Garcia was reportedly last seen leaving the Microtel Hotel located at 16 Kingswood Drive, in Palm Coast, around noon Saturday. Garcia, a non-English speaking Cuban alien has no known friends or immediate family other than a sister who resides in Palm Coast.

Garcia suffers from several medical conditions but is not currently on any medications, deputies said.

Garcia reportedly left his sister’s residence on Thursday, May 9, after an argument and checked into the Microtel Hotel. The sister attempted to contact her brother by cell phone on Saturday to check on his wellbeing and when she was unable to reach him, she went to the motel. She was advised by motel employees that her brother had paid for an additional night and left the motel, leaving behind his motor scooter, checkbook, cell phone and identification card.

Garcia is described as an Hispanic, 5 feet, 5 inches, weighing 150 pounds with a thin build, green eyes and white hair.

He was last wearing blue jeans, a gray shirt and gray Adidas sneakers with red stripes.

Deputies have notified law enforcement authorities through a teletype broadcast throughout the state.

If anyone should see Garcia, they are asked to contact local law enforcement or the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at 313-4911.
