Joshua Ore earns Eagle Scout

Joshua Ore, member of Boy Scout Troop 270, received his Eagle Scout Honor May 5, at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church. He has been involved in Boy Scouts since he was 5 years old. He is now 17 and a junior at Flagler Palm Coast High School.

In addition to Boy Scouts, Ore is active as a vocalist for Shepherd of the Coast Praise Team. He is a section leader for trumpets in the FPC Marching Band and a member of the National Honor Society. He will be representing Flagler County at Boys State this summer, in Tallahassee.

He is the son of Bud and Emily Ore, of Palm Coast.

Palm Coast earns Tree City USA designation for eighth straight year
For the eighth straight year, the city of Palm Coast has been named a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation in recognition of Palm Coast’s urban forestry program.

In addition to being recertified as a Tree City USA, the city also recieved the Tree City USA Growth Award for the seventh time and named a Tree City USA Growth community based on its planning and management of wildlife resources, public relations, community education and its partnerships with the Flagler County School District and the Florida Forest Service.
