The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has joined with 13 other Northeast Florida counties to provide a tool for residents to report suspicious activities that may be terrorist-related in their community.

The “iWatch” reporting system is a partnership with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Northeast Florida Fusion Center.

Under this program, residents are able to report suspicious activity wherever they see it. The program offers participants a guarantee of anonymity when reporting.

The program centers on behaviors and activities. Residents should report suspicious activity, such as people drawing or measuring important buildings, a briefcase, suitcase, backpack, or package left behind, or someone purchasing supplies or equipment that can be used to make bombs or weapons.

“This is an excellent program that we are able to participate in without any cost,” said Flagler County Sheriff Jim Manfre. “It is an opportunity for our residents to take an active part in protecting our country, our state and our community.”
