Three Flagler students receive scholarships

Plum Creek has awarded $1,000 scholarships to Hunter Fromm, Morgan Pearson and Jasmine Perez.

All three are Matanzas High School graduates. The scholarships recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, involvement in school and community activities and overall achievement throughout their high school careers.

Fromm is the son of William and Kelly Fromm and will attend the University of Central Florida in the fall. Pearson is the daughter of Anthony and Phyllis Pearson and will attend Stetson University in the fall. Perez is the daughter of Reynold and Arlyn Perez and will attend the University of Florida in the fall.

This year, Plum Creek awarded 117 scholarships to high school seniors around the country totaling $141,000. In Florida, 16 students were awarded 2012 Plum Creek scholarships, totaling $17,000.
