The following is adapted from a press release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:
Just before dawn Thursday, May 24, a Palm Coast man was slightly injured as he was walking on the roadway when he was clipped by the driver’s side mirror of a Flagler County Sheriff’s deputy who was coming on duty.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 5:37 a.m. on Pine Cone Drive. The pedestrian received medical treatment at the scene and was released.

As is normal procedure, a Sheriff's Office Crash Review Board will be reviewing the incident.

No charges were filed.
