The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program needs volunteers to drive local cancer patients to and from their chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments. An integral part of treating cancer successfully is making sure cancer patients receive their treatments, but many find making transportation arrangements is a challenge.

“If you have a car and even one hour a month, you can make a real difference in someone’s life,” said Gina Becker, patient services manager.

To volunteer, call 1-877-901-2862. For more information about the Road to Recovery program, call 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org.
