The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate incidents, a potential Tuesday morning shooting and a Monday night stabbing, according to a press release.

Sheriff’s Office deputies are trying to determine exactly what happened to a 48-year-old Palm Coast man who showed up at a fire station at 302 Palm Coast Parkway around 10:25 a.m. Tuesday bleeding from his head and claiming to have been hit by a falling cabinet, the report states.

Deputies said that after further investigation, it appeared the man may have been wounded by a gunshot. Investigators recovered a letter inside the man’s vehicle that may be connected to the incident.

The injured man was transported to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
