Flagler Beach resident wins national distance-learning award

The United States Distance Learning Association, the world’s premier distance-learning association, inducted Flagler Beach resident Pam Birtolo, of Florida Virtual School, into the 2012 USDLA Hall of Fame April 30, during its 2012 International Distance Learning Awards program, in conjunction with the USDLA 2012 National Conference in St. Louis.

The Hall of Fame award is presented to a nationally/internationally recognized individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the use and application of distance learning and has a long-standing record of supporting the USDLA mission.

USDLA is a nonprofit founded in 1987 and promotes the development and application of distance learning for education and training and serves the needs of the distance learning community by providing advocacy, information, networking and opportunity.
