+ Deltona man charged with child neglect in Flagler
A Deltona man was arrested Saturday, April 28, on a charge of child neglect after Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies found he left two small children unsupervised at their Madison Green Apartment in Palm Coast.

Germain Faivre, 23, of Beaver Drive, was charged with leaving his 5-year-old and 2-year-old children alone in their apartment while he walked several hours to a hotel on North Old Kings Road, to continue an argument with his girlfriend.

When deputies arrived at the scene at around 2 p.m., one child said their father had gone to the store.

The Department of Children and Families responded, along with the children’s aunt. When Faivre returned, deputies determined the children had been left alone for about two hours.
