Callender awarded National Medallion

Flagler County resident Jim Callender was recently awarded the National Medallion from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

This national award is presented to someone whose unusually devoted service has contributed greatly in helping to achieve a fuller and richer life through the positive guidance and influence of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Callender is a retired deputy chief fire marshal of the New York City Fire Department and has led the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia and Flagler Counties as board president for the past year.
