MHS senior appointed to Air Force Academy

Connor Sanchez, a senior at Matanzas High School, recently accepted an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Sanchez received the nomination from U.S. Rep. John Mica.

He is presently battalion commander for the Army JROTC program, at Matanzas. Sanchez will leave for the academy at the end of June.
