Washington Oaks sponsors Earth Day photo contest

The Friends of Washington Oaks will sponsor an Earth Day photo contest. This year, submissions may include photographs of Faver Dykes State Park.

Judges are looking for fresh new views of the parks in the following categories: beaches and trails, historic structures, gardens and wildlife.

There will be adult and youth divisions. Entrants may submit three photographs each.

Rules and entry forms can be obtained on line at www.washingtonoaks.org or by visiting the gift shop in either park.

All entries must be submitted by April 9, at the Washington Oaks Gift Shop and accompanied by the completed forms and a CD of the images.
