City staff recently received a complaint against Pure Water Solutions LLC, a company that sold an elderly resident a water conditioning system, claiming it was sent to his home at the city’s request due to high chlorine levels.

According to Palm Coast officials, this company does not have a valid business tax receipt or solicitation permit, and staff has referred the matter to the appropriate authorities.

The city of Palm Coast has issued a release alerting the community about the actions of this company and its possible fraudulent practices. Citizens are advised that the water from the city’s utility is safe to drink and, furthermore, the city does not contract with any companies to test water at individual customers’ homes.

Citizens should be skeptical of any company that claims the city’s water is unsafe to drink, officials warn, or claims that they were sent to a citizen’s home at the city’s request.
