Worn tires, reckless driving lead to Flagler County crash

Sarah Jean Namdar-Yeganeh, 28, of Flagler Beach, is in serious condition after a 5:10 p.m. June 13 crash in Flagler County.

Namdar-Yeganeh was charged with reckless driving, driving with a suspended license and not wearing a seat belt. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, she was also driving at a high rate of speed on worn tires.

Driving in a 1997 Saturn, she swerved on State Road 9 two miles south of State Road 100 and struck a 2008 Nissan Altima driven by Palm Coast resident Melody G. Travers, 55. Namdar-Yeganeh then crossed three lanes of traffic and struck a guard rail and overturned a number of times, according to the report. Namdar-Yeganeh was then ejected out the window of her vehicle. She was transported to Halifax Medical Center.

Travers had no injuries and was wearing a seat belt.
