The New Year began with a bang for some residents in Palm Coast. But it wasn't the type of bang they had expected or wanted. The following are reports from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:

Jan. 3
A resident of Slumber Path in Palm Coast reported that his sliding glass door had been broken by shots from a BB gun. Deputies unsuccessfully searched the area for suspects.

Jan. 3
A Palm Coast teenager was charged with criminal mischief after deputies said she caused $2,000 in damages to her uncle’s car which was parked on Buffalo Bill Drive. The uncle said extensive damage had been done to the paint on his vehicle after the teen threw clay pots at the vehicle.

Jan. 1
A resident of Lamonyne Lane in Palm Coast reported his mailbox and post were thrown into a swale next to a storm drain culvert. The victim said he had seen several juveniles in the area before discovering the mailbox damage.

Dec. 31
A 61-year-old Palm Coast man was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license following a traffic stop on Palm Coast Parkway. The deputies said the man’s license had been revoked consecutively since 1977.
