Kristina Mele, daughter of Paul and Debra Mele, of Palm Coast, will soon marry Kenneth Udell, son of Lawrence and Linda Udel, of Palm Coast.
The couple was introduced through mutual friends from high school.
In December 2010, Udell came to her parents’ home and asked for their blessing. A few days later, he got down on one knee and proposed underneath the Christmas lights in downtown St. Augustine. The evening ended with a surprise engagement party at the Mele home.
Mele and Udell are 2004 graduates of Flagler Palm Coast High School. Mele is employed by Emergency Services of Volusia County, and Udell is employed by the city of St. Augustine.
A February wedding is planned, at Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church.
