+ Patti Aborn wins all November top-agent honors for Weichert, Realtors
The Palm Coast office of Weichert, Realtors: Hallmark Properties has recognized Patti Aborn as a record-breaker in the office’s monthly top agent awards.

In November, Aborn won all honors presented, including Top Listing Agent, Top Sales Agent, Top Number of Closings and Top Closed Volume.

+ Amaral named new Home Builders president
Antonio Amaral Jr., of Amaral Custom Homes, was sworn in as the 29th president of the Flagler Home Builders Association, at the association’s recent Installation Banquet and Holiday Gala in Palm Coast. He replaced past president Robbie Richmond, of Keystone Homes, and past vice-president David Fowler, of Alliance Financial Partners.

The association’s new executive committee also includes Vice-President Luis Medeiros, of New Coastal Homes; Secretary/Treasurer Darin Dahl, of 3D Contracting; and Associate Vice-President Laurie Alves, of Intracoastal Bank.

Charles Rinek, of Charles Rinek Construction, was also recognized as the association’s sixth Life Director, after serving on the board of directors for 10 consecutive years. Eric Phillips, of Phillips Coastal Construction, was named builder of the year. Associate of the Year honors went to David Fowler, of Alliance Financial Partners. Jim Gonce, of Builders First Source, was named Spike of the Year for leading in member recruitment.

President’s Awards were given to Kim Raszl, of Raszl Custom Pools & Spas, and Paul Aiello, of RHS Mechanical, for their passion and understanding for what the association has to offer our community.The Flagler Home Builders Association was established in 1984.

+ Zumba class sells out
The 3’N Motion Dance Studio hosted, on Dec. 11, Vaneza Roberts and Michaela King’s first Zumba Holiday Master Class, which features an extra instructor, live singing and new choreographies. All 50 participation slots sold out in within two weeks of opening registration. Another master class is scheduled for February.

THE OBSERVER LAUNCHES STANDING O AWARDS

The Palm Coast Observer wants to know. Beginning this month, The Observer will launch its first Standing O Awards campaign, recognizing business excellence in Flagler County.

The campaign will culminate with a ceremony honoring the top businesses in Flagler County, at the 2012 BAC to Business Expo.

In the economic summits in 2011, the county’s leaders agreed that economic recover will be most likely to occur in a “robust entrepreneurial environment.” The Palm Coast Business Assistance Center, the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, SCORE, the Center for Business Excellence, Daytona State College, Flagler County Schools and the Young Professionals Group have teamed up with The Observer to present the Standing O Awards.

The awards will promote entrepreneurs by recognizing excellence in several categories, including customer satisfaction, quality of products and services and business outlook.

Entry fee includes ads in The Observer.
