Ditch diver
3:37 a.m. Dec. 27
A 36-year-old Palm Coast man was arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding law enforcement officers, habitually driving with suspended driver’s license and possession of a suspended driver’s license after he was stopped on Coconut Boulevard in Daytona North.
Deputies reported responding to a report of a reckless driver in the area of County 302. Deputies located the man as he made a turn onto County Road 305 without stopping for a flashing red light. The driver refused to stop for deputies until he lost control of his car and wound up in a ditch along the roadside.
Cold case
3:08 p.m. Dec. 27
A property management company reported the theft of an outside air conditioning unit from a home on Bickwick Place. The house is currently vacant and the incident is under investigation.

1:59 a.m. Dec. 26
A resident of the European Village Apartments reported the door leading to the apartment hallway had been kicked in. The victim said entry was not made into her unit, but the damage to the door was estimated at $200.

6:11 p.m. Dec. 26
A resident of Collingwood Lane in Palm Coast reported his home had been entered while he went to pick up his wife up at work. The homeowner said he left around 4:45 p.m. and when he returned at 5:30 p.m., he found his garage window open and jewelry as well as a camera were missing.
Rustling bandit
6:53 p.m. Dec. 25
A Palm Coast resident reported his home on Bannerwood Lane had been entered while he was inside. The homeowner said he returned from a vacation and heard a rustling from the rear of his house. He called the Sheriff’s Office and when deputies arrived, they found a lanai door had been damaged.
Drawers in the master bedroom had been scattered on the floor and the homeowner reported jewelry was missing. The incident is under investigation.
