The Portuguese American Cultural Center has started a bike- and walk-a-thon to raise money for scholarships.

PACC members get together on the first Sunday of every month and walk or bike for the cause, enlisting many of the young people who could possibly gain from the initiative.

The walk starts at St. Joe Walkway toward Waterfront Park. Cost is $10 for participants and no charge for children up to 17 years old accompanied by a member of PACC.

After the walk, there’s a complimentary breakfast at PACC headquarters. The next walks will take place March 4 and April 1.
