+ Chase on Palm Coast Parkway ends in crash
The Florida Highway Patrol chased a 34-year-old Jacksonville woman through the heart of Palm Coast Feb. 13. The woman plowed into eight vehicles that were stopped at a red light at Palm Coast Parkway and Cypress Point. She sustained major injuries. Of the other eight involved, one had minor injuries. + ‘Buy local’ campaign kicks off in Bunnell
The city of Bunnell has announced the results of its first Buy Bunnell campaign, an initiative to stimulate local spending.
Of all the entries, 86% were Bunnell residents. The business where participants shopped most was Kangaroo Express. Katherine Lopez, who was chosen as the campaign’s winner, will receive a $40 gift certificate, donated by Larry’s Italian Deli.
“I have always had a soft spot for the small guy,” said Larry DeCamillo, deli owner. The next Buy Bunnell campaign will run through April. Call 437-7516.
+ Former employee drops appeal against Palm Coast
Former city employee Terry Geigert, who filed a complaint against her former boss in August alleging she wasdemoted and sexually harassed on the job, has dropped an appeal with the state, city officials said Friday.
“We are very pleased with the outcome, and hopefully this puts the whole situation behind us,” City Manager Jim Landon said.

Catherine Vyvyan will be vigorously pursuing criminal charges to find justice for her mother, Francoise Pecqueur. Attorney Allan Ziffra said the settlement of the civil matter in no way resolves the criminal case against Jamesine Fischer.
