Temperatures were forecast to be in the 20s and 30s through 9 a.m. today, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a freeze warning. Sensitive vegetation could be killed by the cold.
Young children and the elderly are especially vulnerable to the cold.
Ironically, Florida has the only freeze watch in the United States as of today, Monday, Feb. 13.
The good news is that the temperatures should rise to 60 degrees eventually today. The forecast is 45 overnight, but tomorrow, we should see a high of 74 degrees, according to www.Weather.com.
