Ronda Gaouette and Jennifer Bennett were recognized Feb. 6 by the Flagler County Board of County Commission for reaching 25 years of service.

Among about 300 total employees, there are only five on staff who have worked for the county for that long or more.

Both Gaouette and Bennett were hired in 1987 — Gaouette in public works (then called the Road and Bridge Department), and Bennett as a permit specialist. Gaouette still serves in public works; Bennett serves in growth management.
