+ Intracoastal Bank announces Volusia center
Palm Coast-based Intracoastal Bank announced on Feb. 2 the opening of its Daytona Beach Lending Center, marking the company’s first expansion outside of Flagler County.

The branch will be led by Mark Barr, Lloyd Collins, Larry McDermott, Rhonder Sleister and others, with a combined experience of more than 223 years.

+ SeaGate Homes leads new construction in Palm Coast
SeaGate Homes led Palm Coast’s new construction in 2011 by pulling more than one-third of all single-family home permits issued through the city.

Of 20 builders issued a total of 79 permits, SeaGate accounted for 27 permits, or 34%, according to Michael Sawdai, SeaGate’s vice president of operations. Call 445-6175.

+ Bellagio Custom Homes hires designer, plans model
Bellagio Custom Homes recently hired interior designer Melissa Pomp to fill its newly created design coordinator position.

A Longwood native, Pomp has more than 10 years of design experience. To coincide with the hiring, the home-building company is also planning its newest luxury model in Palm Coast. Expected to break ground later this year, Bellagio began planning the home after selling its latest model, a 3,490-square-foot, $742,000 home in Grand Haven. For more, call 246-6175.

+ Bunnell childcare center receives accreditation
A Bunnell-based childcare center, the Redlands Christian Migrant Association Flagler Child Development Center, received national accreditations last month by the National Accreditation Commission for early care/education programs.

Cheryl Smith, center coordinator, said the center cares for 36 children. It is one of 75 centers operated by RCMA in 21 Florida counties. The non-profit, non-sectarian RCMA is based in Immokalee. Call 437-8238.

+ Young named 100 Plus Realty’s public service director
Robert Busam, president of 100 Plus Realty Group, announced Feb. 2 the promotion of Kim Young to the position of public service director. Young has a background in Miami radio, television and advertising.

+ Registration opens for chamber leadership course
The Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates is currently accepting applications for Leadership Flagler, a program to groom community leaders.

Tuition is $500 for chamber members, and $700 for nonmembers. Scholarships may be available. Call 586-5169. Application deadline is Feb. 17.
