Sheriff to receive $20,000 for training, programs

The Flagler County Board of County Commission allocated, Feb. 6, more than $20,000 to the Flagler County Sheriff for six programs and initiatives.

A total of $10,000 was allocated for the Federal Bullet Proof Vest Grant’s 50/50 match.

Another $5,000 was put toward the purchase of a projector for use in training. $4,700 was allocated for the purchase of a crime analysis/trending computer software. Two separate $1,000 allocations were granted to the Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida and domestic-violence training. $500 was allocated for renovations to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School’s sports field, for juvenile delinquency prevention.
