As part of National Volunteer Week, the United Way held its 25th-annual Volunteer Awards. This year, the Youth Group of the Year Award was presented to Flagler County Youth Center’s Student Advisory Council.
They also received the U.S. Presidential Volunteer Service Award. The awards event was held Thursday, April 19, at the Daytona Beach Hilton.
The Flagler Youth Center is housed on the Flagler Palm Coast High School campus and directed by Cheryl Massaro.
