Preliminary investigations by the Florida Highway Patrol state that Freddie L. Emanuel, 57, was standing in the middle of the street when he was struck by a car at 8:41 p.m. April 18.
Emanuel was listed in serious condition and transported to Halifax Hospital.
The report states that Palm Coast resident Rafiel R. Emanuel, 21, was driving westbound on East Booe Street, approaching the intersection of South Pine Street. Freddie Emanuel was standing in the middle of East Booe for an unkown reason when Rafiel Emanuel's 1997 Ford Ranger struck him.
The investigation is ongoing.
