The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners, at its April 16 meeting, approved a $587,790 improvement project on State Road 100, between US-1 and Belle Terre Parkway, for landscaping and irrigation improvements.

The project is funded 100% through a joint participation agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation.

Included in the project is additional landscaping, which, according to staff, “(will) provide a substantial overall beautification enhancement opportunity to the public and will complement the entrance to Flagler County’s Government Services Complex.”

The city of Bunnell, which applied for the grant, has also entered into a separate agreement with FDOT to perpetually maintain the project.
