The Daytona Cubs are hosting a food drive to benefit The Sheltering Tree. The game will take place 7:05 p.m. April 21, against the Tampa Yankees. Flagler County residents are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item for donation. Each person who donates will receive a free hot dog at the ballpark.

Tickets purchased through a member of The Sheltering Tree Board of Directors will result in an additional $3 donation to the charity.

The Sheltering Tree provides clothing, food and shelter to the homeless during the coldest nights of the year. They have served the community more than 90 freezing nights in the past three years, with up to 32 people per night.

To purchase tickets, call 446-0507.
