A crash at 4 p.m. on State Road 100 and another just after midnight on Palm Coast Parkway left three injured the evening of April 2.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by Flagler Beach resident Jane Golden, 67, and a 2010 Ford Edge driven by Palm Coast resident Roy Bresloff, 50, were stopped at Landing Boulevard and State Road 100 at 4 p.m. April 2.

Golden was stopped behind Bresloff, and she lifted her foot off the brake, causing her to strike the rear end of Bresloff's Ford Edge. Bresloff had previous medical issues, and this crash caused complications or possible further injuries. For that reason, Fireflight was called, and State Road 100 was briefly stopped in both directions.

Bresloff had a passenger, who was uninjured. Golden was uninjured, as were the three children who were passengers in her vehicle.

Later that night, at 12:52 a.m., Palm Coast resident Carlos Adams, 42, was driving a 2002 Jaguar X-Type with Tracy Lopez, 44, as his passenger.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Jaguar was traveling east on Palm Coast Parkway, west of Palm Harbor Drive, when for unknown reasons Adams lost control of the vehicle, and it began to rotate counterclockwise as it exited the roadway into the median.

The right front area of the car hit a tree and the rotated and struck another tree. The Jaguar then caught fire.

Adams' injuries were rated "critical," or a 3 on a 0 to 4 scale, and Lopez's were rated "serious," or a 2. They were transported to Halifax Hospital.
